In 2016, Donna Brovender’s daughter Ali Senser lost her life to a pulmonary embolism just days after giving birth. She was only 35 and had no prior history of blood clots. After Ali’s death, Donna’s husband also died of a pulmonary embolism, and Donna herself also suffered from a PE.

To raise awareness of blood clots, Donna is organizing a Coffee and Clots Awareness Blend event at the Jewish Community Center at 435 West Main Street in Aspen, Colorado on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Coffee will begin brewing at 9:30 a.m. Mountain Time and the program will get started at 10 a.m.

Donna, who serves as an NBCA Community Thrombassador and has hosted numerous blood clot awareness walks, will share her story as well as present information on the signs and symptoms of blood clots. This event is free and all ages are welcome.

Register or donate today.
