Compelling Content and Search Engine Optimization Work Support NBCA Educational Efforts to Stop The Clot
September NBCA web visits topped 21,600 – a record! Among the top pages visited were the Learn More section, home page, DVT treatment page, podcast feed, RSS news feed, patient stories and pregnancy fact sheet.
The NBCA website is a key component in NBCA’s efforts to raise awareness about Thrombosis and Thrombophilia. The site is funded by generous grants from the Centers for Disease Control, corporate sponsors and individual donors. Special web features include video patient diaries, an interactive DVT map, a stoplight risk assessment tool and streaming real time blood news.
NBCA is pleased with visitor growth, but to maintain momentum we is working to upgrade the design of the website, and most importantly, expand the content. A recent site visitor poll indicated greater than 90% of visitors were able to easily find the information the were seeking on their first visit.
WEBSITE USABILITY SURVEY RESULTS RELEASED
NBCA completed the report for its first ever website usability survey and is pleased to share its very positive results. The survey was conducted to gather user input to help NBCA better serve website visitors. NBCA’s first year report card resulted in an “A” with an average rating of 4.75 out of 5 for the overall user experience.
