In 2012, the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) presented Stop the Clot® Forums in 5 markets throughout the US: Austin TX, Boston MA, Chicago IL, Los Angeles, CA and Washington DC.
Stop the Clot® Forums are funded through a cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and are aimed at addressing the knowledge gaps about blood clots and clotting disorders that patients and their families often experience. The half-day programs offered valuable interactive presentations and discussions about preventing, treating and managing blood clots. The Forums provided the opportunity for attendees to gain knowledge from experts in the field and from a panel of local patients.
